Dally M 2010, uncensored, unofficial and probably completely wrong opinions.

Coach of Year - Brian Smith, Roosters

Good decision. Brian Smith really has done an amazing thing with the Roosters this year.

Rookie of the Year - Matt Gillett, Broncos

There was no rookie more exciting than Matt Gillett. He was the favourite to win since round 1 haha.

Front rower of the Year - David Shillington, Canberra

Yeah why not, I really have nothing to say on this.

Second-rower of the Year - Sam Thaiday, Brisbane

Fo shizzle. Sammy has been in splendid form and really deserved this award.

Provan-Summons Medal (most popular player as voted by fans) - Todd Carney, Sydney Roosters

How did you 3 roosters fans get so many votes???

Hooker of the Year - Robbie Farah, Wests Tigers

Better than that cunt dog fucking anal bead Michael Ennis. Nathan Friend was unlucky to miss out.

Toyota Cup Player of the Year - Tariq Sims, Brisbane

I have no idea who this is. All I know is he's Ashton Sims' brother and they are both going to the Cowboys.

Winger of the Year - Akuila Uate, Newcastle

I don't like this......I don't know why though.

Captain of the Year - Braith Anasta, Roosters

BARF! Ewwww this makes me like wanna throw up and piss my panties. What about the captain of the Sharks(I have no idea who he is because I couldn't give a fuck) he captained the sharks without killing himself. The man deserves a fucking trophy, medal, badge and a night with Miranda Kerr.

Centre of the Year - Jamie Lyon, Manly

Didn't he only play like 8 games?? Why don't you give him 5/8 of the year as well, oh I've got it give him fucking prop of the year.

Fullback of the Year - Darius Boyd, St George Illawarra

This is just plain fucking stupid, two words JOSH DUGAN.

Five-eighth of the Year - Todd Carney, Roosters

Automatically won because he won the Dally M player of the year. I think Terry Campese would of been a top contender for this award.

Halfback of the Year - Scott Prince, Titans

FUCKING AWESOME, nuff said.

Lock of the Year - Luke Lewis, Penrith

Ehhhhhhh hmmmmm maybe Gallen, Ashley Harrison?? I don't know I can't pick between em.

Rep player of the Year - Bill Slater, Melbourne

I'm just gunna cut my dick off and throw it in the river.

Top Point-scorer -Michael Gordon, Penrith

I can't agree with this selection, I think Bryce Gibbs was deserving of this award.

Top Try-scorer - Akuila Uate, Newcastle

Can't fight the numbers.

Peter Frilingos Award for headline moments of 2010 - Jarryd Hayne, Parramatta

OH FUCK THIS FUCKING STUPID FUCKED SHIT!!! Nathan Gardner's 100m try against the Roosters was totally reeking of awesomeness.

Dally M Player of the Year - Todd Carney, Roosters

He has the shortest shorts.

The decision on Jarryd Hayne

Wow looks like we are in for a game for origin 2. A lot of people think the the decision on Jarryd hayne being allowed to play is unfair. I got one thing to say about it JUST HARDEN THE FUCK UP! If Billy Slater can get away with throwing elbows why can't Jarryd get away with a love tap. It makes for even more venom in origin 2.

Big off season buys.

Rabbitohs and Titans have made some pretty big off season buys. The Titans with controversial former NSW and AUS representative Greg Bird. I am hoping that Bird can put his past behind him and resurrect his NRL career on the Gold Coast. He may also be able to win back his blues jersey espically with NSW look at a 5th successive State of Origin series loss.

Now on to the team that could. The Rabbits lost their coach Jason Taylor in a highly publicised incident involving outgoing rabbit David Fa'logo. He has been replaced with experienced coach John Lang. Lang formerly coached Cronulla Sharks and Penrith Panthers winning a premiership with the latter. The rabbits have a forward pack to be feared with Roy Asotasi, English sensation Sam Burgess, centre in a props body Dave Taylor, Enforcer Michael Crocker, Eddy Pettybourne and also Ben Ross. They have the forward pack to go all the way but I think their backs might be the let down for them. Chris Sandow failed to impress in '09 after winning rookie of the year in '08 but he was having family difficulties in '09 so lets hope he has a good one this year. John Sutton was also victim to indifferent form.

Sam Burgess has only played 10 minutes in a trial match against Manly and yet Lang had enough confidence in him to allow him to play for the NRL All Stars. Being a bit skeptical of all the hype he really impressed me in that match. You wouldn't of thought he has only had 10mins experience in the NRL and that being in a trial match. Burgess brings with him youth a good offload and bone rattling D.

Dave Taylor left us in shock and awe at the back end of last season. While the Broncos were in a slump and Broncos fans everywhere were down, Dave Taylor should us looks can be deceiving. Who would of thought such a big man can be as fleet footed and agile as a cat. I referred to him as a centre in a props body earlier, I know think of him as a 5/8 in a props body. He has everything a modern prop should have, good footwork close to the line, a strong offload ability, a great passing game and even a little speed to boot.

I am hoping that Souths can make it to the top 8 this year. If they don't, I don't think there is much more they can do.

So far So good in the NRL but not in the ESL

No off field controversies to speak of yet in the NRL. Which is a good sign considering last year with Brett Stewart's sexual assault allegations and Anthony Watmough punching a Manly sponsor. Could this mean a less disruptive off field season? The same unfortunately cannot be said for our brother competition the ESL(English Super League). Recently Terry Newton former Great Britain hooker admited to taking human growth hormone(HGH). This might also mean the end to Newton's career because he is facing a 2 year ban for doping.

Newton had 15 caps for Great Britain. Also England and Wigan forward Gareth Hock is serving a 2 year ban after testing positive to cocaine.
